Most of us cringe when someone gets to represent us. We find it challenging when another student in our group represents us in front of the class often doubting they can do as good a job as us. We struggle when someone is representing us in a game and is fumbling for answers we know.
The same can be true with our faith. We can be frustrated that Adam represented us in the garden and at times even think we wouldn’t be in this mess if we were in the garden and not him. And yet we acknowledge that no one can represent us as well as Christ. And so we’re thankful for His work on our behalf that grants us His righteousness so that when the Father looks upon us, He sees His son.
