Interdependence can be challenging. Dependence is daunting. We don’t like to be in a place of dependency. We want who we are and what we do to count for something. Resisting our dependence on God is deadly. We shift to a place where we are moralistic and religious instead of being in a vital relationship with God. We think we are ‘safe’ and look upon others with condescension and scorn. We sit in judgment as if we have done something to secure our own salvation.
