Apart from Jesus, we can’t do a thing. It’s easy to take credit for what God has done. There are moments in our lives when we are amazed at the grace, strength, and power of God. We’ve cried out to Him for His provision, pleaded with him to turn our life or the life of a loved one around, asked Him to change or alter a situation… and at times He graciously does. In the moment, we may thank Him and subsequently give Him glory but then, as people continue to thank us for our efforts, we easily forget that apart from Christ we couldn’t do this.
