A Transformed Life

It seems so normal that we don’t even recognize it. The philosophy and ideology of our world so appeals to our sinful nature that we can’t detect the ways it gnaws at our soul leading us from God’s light into darkness. We even mistake the darkness for light… we confuse a better life for a godly life and we settle for a way of living that looks like our sinful nature with some refining rather than one fully submitted to God. We look at the difference Jesus makes in the lives of those He encounters in Scripture and think the accounts are radical instead of ordinary. The contrast may be startling – and the transformation thorough – but when people encounter Jesus we find that they start to live the way He always intended them to.
