As our province sees food bank use at all-time highs, many in the James North neighbourhood continue to struggle to meet their basic needs. The North End Neighbourhood has long been one of great financial need within the City of Hamilton and while that has changed some within the past decade, there are still many families who rely on the support of James North Christmas hampers to provide Christmas dinner and gifts for their children. We are praying that we can once again provide hampers to around three hundred families in our neighborhood this Christmas season. In order to do so, we need $30, 000 to purchase food for the hampers and toys for the children. We will also need volunteers to help provide our Toy Shop so that parents can choose a toy for their child(red). Would you consider partnering with us this Christmas to help provide for those who are struggling and to share God’s love? Purchasing toys with your children for others is a great way to help them celebrate Christmas. Parents receiving hampers are able to choose from these donations to select a toy for their child. We would suggest spending between $25-$35 on toys.
