In our pain, we often feel isolated and alone. We believe no one understands what we are going through and no one can relate to our situation. The excruciating numbness is exasperated when we believe God has abandoned us. We cry out to Him in our pain and seemingly feel nothing. That’s what Joseph was experiencing, that first Christmas, when Mary told him she was pregnant because God granted her this child.
